A Message From Our Coordinator...
To all those that made North Texas Pagan Pride Day 2008 such a wonderful day and a huge success! I write today to thank each and every one of you. If I could do it personally I would but that might take until next year! There are already plans in the works for next year so keep checking back to the website.
First of all I want to thank Troy for being such and awesome and understanding webmaster! You've done a great job on the website and I have heard many say it's awesome! THANK YOU!!
I also want to thank Autumn for coming to my rescue towards the end and working with the vendors. I know I would have been even more busy if it hadn't have been for her. You ROCK! Also, thank you Nikki for stepping up and helping when Autumn had to go, and everything else you did.
Many thanks go to the vendors, the entertainers and the workshop facilitators for all the wonderful things that they bring to, not only this event but to the community. If it wasn't for you, PPD would never have been as grand as it was. Your time and dedication is inspiring.
A big shout out goes to Rev. Mark Waltz and the UU Church of Oak Cliff! Thank you for your hospitality and graciously letting us invade your space. We love having Pagan Pride on the church grounds and hope to have many years of Pagan Pride Day there. (NOTE* The church is holding a Fall Festival and wanted to extend an invitation to anyone who would like to vend. Please contact me or Mark at www.oakcliffuu.org for more information. The date is November 1st I am sure they would love to see other shining faces there as well )
Huge thank you to our sponsors! What you do for this community is greatly appreciated! I hope that you will consider working with us again in the future.
Also a huge thank you to all the volunteers that came out and helped with setup, stage hand and Tinkerbell for face painting!
Thank you to Lady Ravenweed and her coven for the wonderful Gardnerian ritual. Thank you to the Eagle Mountain Protogrove for a glimpse into your practices as well.
We definitely had a great day and also learned some things. There will be wonderful things in store for next year. I hope that you all will help us celebrate then too! If you have any ideas, suggestions, questions, concerns, compliments or complaints feel free to email me at ntxppd@gmail.com
Thank you all again! Without you, this would never be possible!
*NOTE from Troy* Let's not forget also to give a great big THANK YOU to our coordinator RavenMae for all of the hard work and dedication she has put into making all of this happen.
